I currently work as Senior Research Investigator in the Department of Computer and Information Science (CIS) at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia (USA), on leave from the French National Research Center (CNRS) where I hold a tenure researcher position. From 2019 to 2021, I worked as Senior Researcher in the Language Technology lab at the University of Helsinki, Department of Digital Humanities, Finland. I hold an adjunct appointment in the CIS Department at the University of Pennsylvania since 2017.
I joined the CNRS LIMSI lab (currently LISN) at University Paris-Saclay in 2011. Before that, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the National Centre for Language Technology (NCLT) in Dublin City University (Ireland), at University College Ghent (Belgium), and at INRIA-Rocquencourt (France). I did my PhD (2008) in Theoretical, Descriptive and Computational Linguistics at University Paris 7. During my PhD, I obtained a Marie Curie Host Fellowship for Early Stage Research Training at the University of Bergen, Norway. I defended my Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) at the University Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier in 2022.
